Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Cybersecurity Analyst with a passion for Artificial Intelligence to join our remote team. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in a leading cybersecurity company, focusing on leveraging AI and machine learning techniques to enhance our threat detection and response capabilities. You will work closely with senior analysts and engineers, contributing to the development and implementation of advanced security solutions. This role is 100% remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring security alerts and incidents, performing initial triage and escalation.
- Contribute to the analysis of security logs, network traffic, and other security data sources.
- Support the development and fine-tuning of AI/ML models for threat detection, anomaly detection, and incident response automation.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and assist in penetration testing efforts.
- Help maintain security tools and platforms, ensuring their optimal performance and configuration.
- Document security procedures, incident reports, and analysis findings.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and AI advancements.
- Participate in incident response activities under the guidance of senior team members.
Required Skills
- Foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Basic knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS) and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python for automation and data analysis.
- Understanding of basic AI/Machine Learning concepts and their application in cybersecurity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, Google Cybersecurity Certificate).
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel).
- Exposure to cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Practical experience with data analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
