Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Knowledge Graph Scribe with a data focus to join our remote team. In this role, you will be instrumental in expanding and refining our internal knowledge graphs, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness. You will work closely with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to translate complex information into structured data, enhancing our ability to extract insights and build intelligent applications. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to innovative data initiatives from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe and structure unstructured data into predefined knowledge graph schema.
- Identify, research, and resolve data discrepancies and ambiguities to ensure high data quality.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to define and refine data modeling requirements for knowledge graphs.
- Perform quality assurance checks on knowledge graph entries to maintain integrity and consistency.
- Contribute to the development of guidelines and best practices for knowledge graph population and maintenance.
- Assist in the annotation and labeling of datasets to train machine learning models.
- Document data sources, methodologies, and decisions made during the data structuring process.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing discussions regarding knowledge graph strategy and improvements.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in data entry and data management.
- Ability to understand and interpret complex data structures and relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a distributed team.
- Familiarity with spreadsheet software (e.g., Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel).
- Basic understanding of data organization principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with knowledge graphs, semantic web technologies (RDF, OWL), or graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Amazon Neptune).
- Exposure to data annotation or data labeling tasks.
- Understanding of basic programming concepts or scripting (e.g., Python) for data manipulation.
- Prior experience in a remote work environment.
- Degree in Library Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
