Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Knowledge Graph Scribe to join our remote team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing and maintaining the accuracy and completeness of Google’s Knowledge Graph. Your primary focus will be on data curation, research, and validation to ensure our vast repository of information is reliable and up-to-date. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to how information is structured and delivered to users globally, working from anywhere within the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research and data collection from various sources to identify and extract relevant information for the Knowledge Graph.
- Verify the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of existing and newly added data entries.
- Annotate and categorize entities and relationships within the Knowledge Graph according to established guidelines and schemas.
- Identify data discrepancies, propose corrections, and work with engineering teams to implement improvements.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of data curation policies and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, researchers, and product managers, to support Knowledge Graph initiatives.
- Maintain a high level of data quality and integrity through meticulous attention to detail.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with data entry, data curation, or content management, with a strong focus on data quality.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize information from diverse sources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in using online research tools and databases.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Basic understanding of data structures or information organization principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Systems, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Knowledge Graphs, ontologies, or semantic web technologies.
- Experience with SQL or other data querying languages.
- Previous experience working with large-scale datasets.
- Comfortable with complex data schemas and guidelines.
