Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and professional Morning Shuttle Chauffeur to join our ‘Early Bird Roster’ at Hilton Norfolk The Main. This crucial role involves safely transporting guests and occasionally team members to and from designated locations during early morning hours, ensuring a positive and comfortable start to their day. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to punctuality, and a friendly, service-oriented demeanor. You will be the first point of contact for many of our guests, representing the high standards of our hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate hotel shuttle vehicles safely and efficiently along designated routes and for special requests during early morning shifts.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, hotel policies, and safety regulations.
- Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage and personal items, providing courteous and professional service.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained shuttle vehicle, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Communicate effectively with hotel staff regarding guest needs, schedule changes, and any vehicle issues.
- Provide local information and recommendations to guests upon request.
- Ensure timely arrivals and departures, managing routes efficiently to meet scheduled times.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical problems immediately to management.
Required Skills
- Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent knowledge of local traffic laws and routes in Norfolk and surrounding areas.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Punctual and reliable, with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift and carry luggage (up to 50 lbs).
- Customer service oriented and professional demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a professional driver or chauffeur, preferably in a hospitality setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with luxury vehicle operation and maintenance.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
