Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Music Curriculum Developer to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality, engaging music education content for our global online learning platform. You will work closely with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and multimedia specialists to create interactive and effective learning experiences that cater to diverse learners, from beginners to advanced practitioners. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop comprehensive music curriculum, including course outlines, learning objectives, assessments, and multimedia resources.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (e.g., musicians, musicologists, educators) to ensure accuracy and pedagogical effectiveness of content.
  • Create engaging and interactive learning activities, quizzes, assignments, and projects.
  • Utilize authoring tools and platforms to build and deploy course content.
  • Conduct thorough content reviews and quality assurance to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Stay current with trends in music education, instructional design, and educational technology.
  • Incorporate feedback from learners and instructors to continuously improve course materials.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and quality standards.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Music Education, Musicology, Music Theory, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or teaching music at a higher education or professional level.
  • Strong understanding of various music genres, theories, instruments, and production techniques.
  • Proficiency in instructional design principles and learning theories.
  • Experience with online learning platforms and content management systems (e.g., Canvas, Moodle, edX, Coursera platform).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to simplify complex musical concepts.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Music Education or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience with multimedia content creation tools (e.g., audio editing software, notation software like Sibelius/Finale, video editing).
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards for online learning materials (e.g., WCAG).
  • Prior experience working in an education technology company.
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging, interactive, and visually appealing online learning experiences.
