Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and creative Marketing Data Analyst with a strong focus on Consumer Insights to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in analyzing vast datasets related to marketing campaigns, subscriber behavior, content consumption, and user engagement to uncover actionable insights. You will help us understand our members better, identify trends, and inform strategic marketing decisions that drive growth and enhance the Netflix experience globally. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of analytical rigor, a deep understanding of marketing principles, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives for various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to marketing performance, consumer behavior, and content engagement.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights into marketing campaign effectiveness and subscriber lifecycle.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to answer specific business questions and support strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and content teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and measurement strategies.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
  • Utilize statistical methods and data visualization tools to communicate complex data simply.
  • Contribute to the development of data models and analytical tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and market trends to inform analysis and strategic recommendations.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in a data analysis role, preferably within marketing, consumer insights, or entertainment.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis and A/B testing methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into business recommendations.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant quantitative field.
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis.
  • Experience working with global datasets and understanding cultural nuances in consumer behavior.
  • Prior experience in the media, entertainment, or subscription-based industry.
