Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Clinic Nurse to join our team at our Fort Wayne Assembly Plant. This vital role involves providing comprehensive healthcare services to our employees within a busy industrial setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting employee wellness, managing occupational health programs, and responding to workplace injuries and illnesses to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. Key Responsibilities
- Provide immediate medical care and first aid for work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Conduct health assessments, screenings, and pre-employment physicals.
- Administer immunizations and health education programs.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee health records.
- Assist in the management of workers' compensation cases and return-to-work programs.
- Collaborate with safety teams to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Perform drug and alcohol screening per company policy.
- Participate in emergency response planning and execution.
Required Skills
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in occupational health, emergency medicine, or industrial clinic setting.
- BLS/ACLS certification.
- Proficiency in medical recordkeeping and electronic health systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) or COHN-S.
- Experience with OSHA regulations and workers' compensation laws.
- Spirometry and audiometry certification.
- Experience in a large-scale manufacturing environment.
