Job Description
Are you looking for an immediate start in a vital role within the food production industry? Albert Bartlett, a leading name in fresh produce, is seeking dedicated and hardworking On-Farm Picker Packers to join our team in Edinburgh. This is a full-time, on-site position offering a competitive hourly rate and, crucially, staff housing. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our farm operations, from picking fresh produce to preparing it for distribution. No prior experience is necessary as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully picking and harvesting fresh produce directly from the farm.
- Sorting, grading, and packing produce according to quality standards and specific requirements.
- Operating light machinery or tools as required (with training).
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
- Working effectively as part of a team to meet daily production targets.
- Assisting with other general farm duties as needed.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced agricultural environment.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions effectively.
- Basic communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a farm, agricultural, or warehouse environment is a plus but not essential.
