Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Aurora, CO. This role offers flexible day shifts and weekly pay, perfect for individuals looking to balance work with other commitments. Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Process prescription orders, including data entry and insurance claims.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory, including stocking shelves and managing expired medications.
- Operate cash register and handle transactions.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and company policies.
- Support a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with pharmacists, other team members, and patients.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification or license as required by Colorado state law
- 1+ year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred, but strong candidates with less experience will be considered.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with pharmacy management software (e.g., RxConnect)
- Familiarity with medical terminology and common drug names
- Bilingual skills (especially Spanish) are a plus
