Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Entry-Level Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Riverside, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to start a career in the healthcare field, specifically within a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment. No prior experience is required, but a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service are essential. You will support our pharmacy staff in daily operations, ensuring efficient service and a positive experience for our customers. Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with non-clerical duties, including maintaining inventory and organizing the pharmacy area.
- Receive and process prescription orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations.
- Answer incoming calls, address customer inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate personnel.
- Operate the cash register, process transactions, and handle customer payments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including shelves, counters, and workstations.
- Stock shelves with medications and supplies, rotating stock as needed to ensure product freshness.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient needs and concerns professionally and courteously.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA.
- Prepare prescription labels and ensure all information is accurate.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned by the Pharmacist or Pharmacy Manager.
Required Skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a retail or customer service setting
- Familiarity with medical terminology (a plus, but not required)
- Bilingual abilities (Spanish-English) are a plus
