Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team for a casual weekend roster in Henderson, NV. This role is perfect for individuals looking for flexible hours and an opportunity to contribute to patient care in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment. You will support our pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with prescription intake, processing, and dispensing.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage insurance claims.
- Compound and prepare medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Handle cash register transactions and maintain a clean and organized pharmacy area.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and rotating medications.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures related to pharmacy practice.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active Pharmacy Technician license or certification in Nevada (or willingness to obtain quickly)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Proficiency with computer systems and point-of-sale software
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail setting
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws and medical terminology
- Experience with pharmacy management software (e.g., RxConnect)
- Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish)
