Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
- Process prescription orders, including data entry and insurance billing.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and rotating medications.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Handle cash register operations and maintain accurate transaction records.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) from a recognized organization (e.g., PTCB or NHA)
- Current state Pharmacy Technician license/registration in Wyoming
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail setting
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a related field
- Experience with Walgreens pharmacy systems (RxConnect)
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish)
