Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Recording Studio Administrator with an office focus to join our team at Bradley University. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our professional recording studios, supporting academic programs, and facilitating various university-related audio production projects. The successful candidate will manage administrative tasks, coordinate schedules, maintain records, and provide crucial support in a dynamic and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain studio calendars, scheduling recording sessions, classes, and events.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for studio users, faculty, and external clients.
  • Maintain detailed records of studio usage, equipment inventory, and maintenance schedules.
  • Prepare invoices, track expenses, and assist with budget monitoring for studio operations.
  • Coordinate with IT and technical staff for equipment setup, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Assist with onboarding new users to studio policies and procedures.
  • Manage studio supplies and ensure the office environment remains organized and professional.
  • Facilitate communication between studio users, faculty, and university administration.
  • Support special projects and events related to audio production and sound engineering.
  • Draft and distribute communications, reports, and other documents as needed.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with scheduling software or booking systems.
  • Basic understanding of recording studio environments and equipment.

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Music Production, or a related field.
  • Previous administrative experience in an academic or professional studio setting.
  • Familiarity with university policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of audio recording software (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro).
  • Experience managing inventory and budgets.
