Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Regional Truck Drivers to join our team in the Costa Mesa area. This position offers consistent regional routes, ensuring you are home every weekend, providing the work-life balance you deserve. We offer comprehensive paid orientation to get you up to speed with our operations and safety protocols. As a Regional Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods across designated regional routes, adhering to all traffic laws and company regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) on designated regional routes.
- Transport goods efficiently and on schedule, adhering to delivery deadlines.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer, reporting any defects.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and all required documentation.
- Comply with all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Secure freight properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Manage fuel efficiency and expense reports as required.
- Represent Knight-Swift Transportation professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Clean driving record (MVR) for the past 3 years
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Proficiency with ELD systems and basic truck technology
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous regional trucking experience
- Experience with various types of freight and trailers (e.g., dry van, refrigerated)
- Familiarity with Southern California and surrounding regional routes
