Job Description

Join RBC Royal Bank of Canada as a Remote Banking Customer Service Representative and be the friendly voice our clients count on. In this 100% remote role, you’ll provide exceptional support and guidance to our banking customers from the comfort and safety of your home. We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and are eager to learn and grow with a leading financial institution. A secure Work From Home (WFH) setup, including necessary equipment, will be provided to ensure you have everything you need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat regarding banking products and services, account information, and transactions.
  • Assist customers with online banking setup, troubleshooting, and navigation.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues efficiently and courteously, escalating complex matters when necessary.
  • Educate customers on various banking solutions, identifying opportunities to introduce relevant products and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in the CRM system.
  • Adhere to all banking regulations, compliance policies, and security protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance product knowledge and service skills.

Required Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for helping others.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.
  • Experience working in a remote or work-from-home setting.
  • Familiarity with banking products, services, and financial regulations.
  • Post-secondary education in business, finance, or a related field.
