Job Description

Are you meticulous, detail-oriented, and passionate about ensuring data integrity within the dynamic world of video games? Take-Two Interactive is seeking a Remote Game Data Verifier with a strong focus on financial accuracy to join our growing team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere within the United States. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the accuracy and reliability of various game-related data sets, with particular attention to financial implications. You will perform comprehensive verification checks, identify discrepancies, and collaborate with various departments to ensure our data supports sound financial reporting and operational decisions. Your work will directly impact our ability to understand game performance, player behavior, and financial health, ensuring transparency and trust in our data assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform rigorous, detailed verification of game data across multiple platforms and databases to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Specifically focus on data points that have financial relevance, such as in-game transactions, revenue tracking, player spending, and virtual economy balances.
  • Identify and investigate data anomalies, inconsistencies, and potential errors, reporting findings with clear, actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, finance, and game development teams to understand data sources, pipelines, and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and implement verification checklists and procedures to standardize data quality assurance processes.
  • Document verification steps, findings, and resolutions thoroughly.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of data discrepancies against financial reports and ledgers.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality initiatives and tools.
  • Provide regular updates on data quality status and verification progress to stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to data verification.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Basic understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, or revenue recognition.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify root causes of data issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data issues clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial data.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with SQL for querying databases.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Previous experience in a data verification, quality assurance, or auditing role, especially within the gaming or technology industry.
  • Passion for video games and an understanding of game economies or player monetization models.
