Job Description
As a Shipping & Receiving Auditor at our Hialeah Logistics Hub, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all incoming and outgoing shipments. This position is vital for maintaining robust inventory control, ensuring compliance with operational standards, and facilitating efficient warehouse flow. You will be responsible for meticulously verifying documentation against physical goods, identifying discrepancies, and accurately reporting findings to management. Your keen attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will directly contribute to the smooth and effective operation of our busy logistics center.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough and accurate audits of all inbound and outbound shipments, including precise physical counts and meticulous documentation verification.
- Identify, investigate, and document any discrepancies between actual goods and corresponding shipping manifests, purchase orders, or bills of lading.
- Ensure strict compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements pertaining to shipping and receiving processes.
- Utilize advanced warehouse management systems (WMS) to efficiently track inventory movements, process transactions, and generate comprehensive audit reports.
- Collaborate effectively with warehouse operations, inventory control, and customer service teams to resolve discrepancies and issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and complete records and files of all audit activities and findings for future reference and compliance.
- Assist in the training and development of new staff members on proper shipping and receiving procedures and audit protocols.
- Participate actively in periodic inventory counts and reconciliation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in a shipping, receiving, or inventory control role within a logistics or warehouse environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Proficiency with modern warehouse management systems (WMS) and strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a high-performing team in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Solid understanding of fundamental logistics and supply chain principles and best practices.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently and stand for extended periods during shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related business field.
- Current certification in Forklift operation, or a willingness to obtain certification shortly after hire.
- Prior experience or familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is highly desirable and a significant asset in our diverse Hialeah operations.
