Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Shopping Mall Security Dispatcher to join our team at Frontier Mall in Cheyenne, WY. This is a crucial “sit down role” that involves monitoring security systems, coordinating responses, and maintaining clear communication channels within the mall’s security operations center. The ideal candidate will be the central point of contact for all security-related incidents, ensuring swift and effective action to maintain a safe and secure environment for shoppers, tenants, and staff. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems for suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Dispatch security personnel to incidents, emergencies, and routine checks efficiently.
- Maintain accurate logs of all incidents, dispatches, and security activities.
- Answer incoming calls and radio communications from security personnel, mall staff, and emergency services.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire department, and medical services during emergencies.
- Provide clear and concise instructions to security officers in the field.
- Manage access control systems and issue visitor badges as required.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain organized records.
- Perform routine equipment checks on dispatch systems and report any malfunctions.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding security and dispatch operations.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using CCTV monitoring software and alarm systems.
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, especially during emergencies.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, email, incident reporting software).
- Attention to detail for accurate record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of basic radio communication protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security dispatch, emergency call center, or surveillance role.
- Familiarity with shopping mall operations and security challenges.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Security guard license or relevant certifications.
