Job Description
Join the magic at Disneyland Resort as a Stagehand Assistant! This night-shift role is crucial for the successful execution of our live entertainment productions, concerts, and special events across our diverse venues. You will work alongside experienced technicians, assisting with the setup, operation, and strike of lighting, sound, rigging, and scenic elements. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about live production to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the load-in, setup, and strike of theatrical and concert equipment, including audio, lighting, video, and scenic elements.
- Support the safe and efficient operation of stage equipment during performances and rehearsals.
- Follow detailed instructions from Stage Managers, Technical Directors, and lead technicians.
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs on equipment as directed.
- Maintain a clean and organized backstage environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Learn and adapt to new technologies and production techniques.
- Collaborate effectively with a diverse team of cast members and technical staff.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of stagecraft or live production principles.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and reliability, especially for night shifts.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and take direction.
- Manual dexterity and basic tool handling skills.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a theater, concert venue, or live event setting.
- Knowledge of basic audio, lighting, or rigging equipment.
- Vocational training or coursework in technical theater.
- Forklift operation certification (or willingness to obtain).
- First Aid/CPR certification.
