Job Description
Join Lowe’s as a Stock Controller at our bustling retail warehouse in Chattanooga, TN. This vital role is responsible for the accurate and efficient management of inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels, and supporting the smooth flow of goods. You will be instrumental in maintaining organized storage, processing incoming and outgoing shipments, and conducting regular inventory audits. We’re looking for a detail-oriented individual with a strong commitment to accuracy and efficiency, ready to contribute to a dynamic team. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming inventory shipments.
- Organize and maintain stock in designated warehouse locations to maximize space and accessibility.
- Process outbound orders, ensuring correct items are picked, packed, and prepared for dispatch.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, such as forklifts or pallet jacks (training provided if needed).
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excesses to management.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and inventory management systems.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or inventory control role.
- Familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., WMS).
- Certification to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, reach truck).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
