Job Description
Join Netflix as a Global Reviewer specializing in bilingual support. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality, cultural relevance, and linguistic accuracy of our content across various languages and regions. You will be responsible for reviewing subtitles, dubs, and on-screen text, providing valuable feedback to our localization teams, and contributing to the seamless global experience of Netflix users. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the specified region, ensuring maximum flexibility and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform linguistic and cultural review of subtitles, dubs, and on-screen text for Netflix content in your native language(s) and English.
- Provide constructive feedback and quality assessments to localization vendors and internal teams.
- Identify and report any linguistic, cultural, or technical issues within localized content.
- Ensure brand consistency and adherence to Netflix's style guides and glossaries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and content to improve localization workflows.
- Stay updated on cultural nuances and emerging linguistic trends relevant to global markets.
Required Skills
- Native-level proficiency in at least one non-English language and fluent English (both written and verbal).
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills.
- Proven ability to identify and articulate linguistic and cultural nuances.
- Familiarity with various content types (films, TV series, documentaries, games).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Communications, or a related field.
- Prior experience in content review, localization, translation, or quality assurance.
- Experience with translation memory tools and localization platforms.
- Passion for entertainment and deep understanding of global media consumption habits.
