Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and safety-conscious Student Site Marshall to join our team in Layton, Utah. This part-time role is ideal for students looking to gain practical experience in a dynamic construction environment, focusing on site safety, traffic management, and general site operations. As a Site Marshall, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and organized work zone, ensuring compliance with established safety protocols, and directing pedestrian and vehicle traffic effectively. This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn about construction site logistics and safety practices from the ground up, contributing directly to the smooth operation of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control pedestrian and vehicle traffic flow around the construction site to ensure safety.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining traffic control devices, signage, and barriers.
- Communicate effectively with construction personnel, visitors, and the public regarding site access and safety procedures.
- Report any safety hazards, incidents, or non-compliance issues to site management promptly.
- Conduct regular visual inspections of the site for potential safety risks and ensure proper housekeeping.
- Provide general support to the site management team as needed, including administrative tasks related to safety logs.
- Participate in daily safety briefings and contribute to a proactive safety culture.
