Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including physical examinations and medical histories, for patients presenting with urgent care needs.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute medical conditions and minor injuries.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests such as X-rays, EKGs, and laboratory work.
- Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies according to established protocols and state regulations.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, ensuring continuity of care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventative health measures.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and thorough electronic medical records.
- Perform minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, and incision and drainage.
Required Skills
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Massachusetts.
- Current DEA registration.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive clinical assessments and rapid decision-making in an urgent care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree.
- Prior experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care.
- PALS certification.
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin).
