Join Fjord, part of Accenture Interactive, in a fully remote capacity within the UK. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Apple UI/UX Researcher with a strong focus on user testing to help us craft exceptional user experiences within the Apple ecosystem. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects, working with clients who are pioneers in their respective industries.
As an Apple UI/UX Researcher, you will be instrumental in understanding user behavior, validating design decisions, and informing product strategy through rigorous user testing methodologies. You will collaborate closely with design, product, and engineering teams to ensure that our solutions are intuitive, engaging, and meet the needs of diverse user groups, specifically within the context of Apple’s platforms (iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS).
This position is 100% remote, based anywhere within the UK. We value flexibility and the ability to work autonomously while remaining a highly integrated part of our collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive user research plans, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, and ethnographic studies, specifically tailored for Apple platforms.
- Recruit and manage participants for user testing sessions, ensuring diverse and representative samples.
- Analyze research data to identify user needs, pain points, and opportunities for innovation within Apple's design guidelines.
- Translate research findings into actionable insights and recommendations for design and product teams.
- Develop detailed reports, personas, user journeys, and other research artifacts.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and engineers throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Advocate for user-centered design principles and best practices across projects.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in UI/UX research, Apple technologies, and human-computer interaction.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a UI/UX Researcher with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user testing.
- Deep understanding of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and ecosystem (iOS, iPadOS, macOS).
- Proficiency in various qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Experience with user testing tools and platforms (e.g., UserTesting, Lookback, Maze).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple research projects simultaneously.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, or a related field.
- Experience with prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Familiarity with accessibility standards for digital products.
- Prior experience working in a consultancy environment.
- Experience conducting research for international markets.
