Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Associate to join our team in Aurora, Illinois. In this vital role, you will be responsible for a variety of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products. You will operate equipment safely, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure the timely processing of orders. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slips with purchase orders to verify accuracy.
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare items for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (training provided if needed).
- Perform inventory counts and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards.
- Identify and report discrepancies or damage to supervisors.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or production experience.
- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
