Job Description

Join Schneider National as a Top Pay Tanker Solo driver and experience the difference of a leading carrier. We are seeking dedicated and experienced tanker truck drivers to transport various liquid bulk commodities. This role offers a weekly minimum guarantee, ensuring consistent earning potential, along with comprehensive benefits and a focus on work-life balance. As a Solo Tanker driver, you’ll be responsible for safe and efficient delivery, adherence to all DOT regulations, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate tanker trucks to transport liquid bulk commodities to designated locations.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
  • Manage loading and unloading procedures, ensuring product integrity and safety.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation regulations, including HAZMAT protocols.
  • Maintain accurate logbooks and submit all required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
  • Ensure timely delivery while prioritizing safety and compliance.
  • Perform minor maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
  • Proficiency in managing electronic logging devices (ELDs)
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols and regulations
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with liquid bulk transportation
  • Familiarity with various types of tanker equipment
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
