Job Description
Join Schneider National as a Top Pay Tanker Solo driver and experience the difference of a leading carrier. We are seeking dedicated and experienced tanker truck drivers to transport various liquid bulk commodities. This role offers a weekly minimum guarantee, ensuring consistent earning potential, along with comprehensive benefits and a focus on work-life balance. As a Solo Tanker driver, you’ll be responsible for safe and efficient delivery, adherence to all DOT regulations, and maintaining high standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate tanker trucks to transport liquid bulk commodities to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Manage loading and unloading procedures, ensuring product integrity and safety.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation regulations, including HAZMAT protocols.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and submit all required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Ensure timely delivery while prioritizing safety and compliance.
- Perform minor maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Proficiency in managing electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and regulations
- Excellent communication and organizational skills

- Previous experience with liquid bulk transportation
- Familiarity with various types of tanker equipment
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
