Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior stylists with various hair treatments and services, including washing, conditioning, and blow-drying.
- Perform basic hair services such as blow-dries, simple cuts, and styling under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organised salon environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitised.
- Provide exceptional customer service, greeting clients, managing bookings, and ensuring a comfortable salon experience.
- Actively participate in in-house training programs and external workshops to continuously develop hairdressing skills.
- Learn and apply Toni & Guy's signature cutting and colouring techniques.
- Advise clients on hair care products and home maintenance routines.
- Manage client appointments and contribute to salon retail sales.
- Stay updated with current hair trends and fashion, bringing fresh ideas to the team.
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Hairdressing
- Basic understanding of hair cutting, colouring, and styling techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong passion for hairdressing and a desire to learn
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Professional appearance and demeanour
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Hairdressing or working towards it
- Previous experience in a salon environment (even as an assistant)
- Familiarity with Toni & Guy techniques and product ranges
- Portfolio showcasing creative work (if available)
