Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Shopify Specialist with a strong focus on Inventory and Logistics to join our dynamic e-commerce team in Aberdeen. This role is critical for ensuring the smooth operation of our online store, specifically optimizing our inventory levels, order fulfillment processes, and supply chain coordination. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Shopify’s inventory management features, third-party logistics (3PL) integrations, and a passion for operational excellence within a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels across all Shopify stores and integrated systems.
- Monitor stock movements, conduct regular inventory audits, and reconcile discrepancies.
- Optimize inventory allocation strategies to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
- Oversee the integration and daily operations with 3PL partners for efficient order fulfillment.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to streamline inbound and outbound processes.
- Configure and manage Shopify apps related to inventory, shipping, and fulfillment.
- Develop and implement improvements to our e-commerce supply chain, focusing on cost-efficiency and speed.
- Generate reports on inventory performance, fulfillment rates, and logistics costs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to inventory, orders, or shipping within the Shopify ecosystem.
- Stay up-to-date with Shopify updates, new features, and industry best practices in e-commerce logistics.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Shopify Specialist or similar e-commerce role with an inventory/logistics focus.
- In-depth knowledge of Shopify platform features, particularly inventory management, product variants, and collections.
- Experience with 3PL integration and management (e.g., ShipStation, Brightpearl, or similar).
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles and order fulfillment processes.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using Shopify analytics and external tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience with Shopify Plus and advanced e-commerce functionalities.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Experience in the food and beverage or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry.
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
