Job Description
Join FedEx Ground as a Reach Truck Specialist on our dedicated Night Shift team! We are looking for motivated individuals with experience operating reach trucks in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This critical role involves safely and efficiently moving, stacking, and organizing freight within our Antioch distribution center, ensuring smooth operations throughout the night. Key Responsibilities
- Operate reach trucks safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve products and materials.
- Load and unload trailers, ensuring proper securing of freight and adherence to safety protocols.
- Scan and document product movements using warehouse management systems.
- Perform daily equipment checks and minor maintenance to ensure safe operation of reach trucks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies.
- Assist with inventory counts and organization as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet operational goals.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Demonstrated ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Ability to work the designated night shift schedule.
- Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Basic computer literacy for scanning and data entry.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift certification (Reach Truck specific).
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Previous experience in a high-volume logistics or shipping environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
