Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shoe Store Stockist to join our vibrant team in Sugar Land. This role is crucial for maintaining the organization and efficiency of our store’s inventory, ensuring that our sales floor is always well-stocked with the latest fashion footwear. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming merchandise shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Organize and maintain a clean and orderly stockroom, ensuring easy accessibility to products.
- Replenish sales floor inventory from the stockroom as needed, ensuring all sizes and styles are available.
- Assist with inventory counts and contribute to loss prevention efforts.
- Prepare merchandise for display on the sales floor, including ticketing and security tagging.
- Support sales associates by locating specific items for customers when requested.
- Maintain a working knowledge of current product lines, promotions, and store layout.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and stock handling.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by retail scheduling.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a retail stockroom or warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with athletic footwear brands and fashion trends.
- Experience with inventory management systems.
