Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Evening Porter to join our vibrant team at Hilton Norwich. This is a unique opportunity for individuals looking for a stable evening shift, concluding by midnight, with a consistent roster. As an Evening Porter, you will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during the evening hours, providing essential support to various departments and ensuring guest satisfaction through your proactive and helpful approach. This role involves physical activity, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining our high standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently transport luggage for guests upon arrival and departure.
  • Assist guests with inquiries and provide directions or information about hotel services and local attractions.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests, delivering items such as extra towels, amenities, or room service trays.
  • Support the night audit team with various tasks, including preparing reports or light administrative duties.
  • Conduct regular checks of public areas to ensure cleanliness and tidiness, reporting any maintenance issues.
  • Set up and break down meeting rooms or event spaces as required.
  • Assist with internal transfers of supplies, linen, or equipment between departments.
  • Maintain a secure environment by monitoring access points and reporting suspicious activity.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and hotel policies.
