Job Description

Parkview Health is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Patient Care Aides. No prior license or experience is required – we provide comprehensive, paid training to ensure your success! This is an immediate start opportunity for those eager to learn and contribute to a vital healthcare team. As a Patient Care Aide, you will provide essential support to patients and nursing staff, playing a crucial role in patient comfort and recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Help patients with mobility, transferring, and ambulation, utilizing proper body mechanics.
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) accurately.
- Document patient observations, care provided, and any changes in condition.
- Assist nurses with medical procedures, as directed and within scope of training.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Respond to patient call lights promptly and courteously.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong desire to help others and a compassionate attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist patients as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation.
- Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
