Job Description

Brookdale Senior Living in New Port Richey, FL, is seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Medication Management Aide. No prior experience as a Med Aide is required, as we provide comprehensive, paid training to ensure you are fully equipped and confident in your role. As a Medication Management Aide, you will be a vital part of our care team, ensuring residents receive their medications accurately and on time, while also fostering a warm and supportive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with company policies and state regulations.
  • Observe and report any changes in residents' physical, mental, or emotional conditions to the nursing supervisor.
  • Document medication administration accurately and promptly.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed, fostering their independence and dignity.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized medication room and work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development as required.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A genuine desire to work with and care for seniors.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Basic computer proficiency for documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or senior living setting (even if not medication-specific).
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
