Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Turret Truck Operator with a strong focus on Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) warehouse operations to join our team in Wesley Chapel, FL. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for operating specialized turret trucks to perform put-away, replenishment, and picking tasks within our high-density, VNA warehouse environment. This position demands precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient workflow. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate turret trucks in a Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) warehouse environment.
- Perform accurate put-away of incoming materials and products into designated storage locations.
- Execute replenishment tasks to ensure optimal stock levels for picking operations.
- Accurately pick orders using scanning equipment and ensure proper packaging for shipment.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, company policies, and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and resolve operational issues.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating turret trucks or similar VNA equipment.
- Proven ability to navigate and operate equipment safely and precisely in confined spaces.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including picking, put-away, and replenishment.
- Proficiency with RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong commitment to safety procedures and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current forklift or VNA equipment certification.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience with Ryder's specific WMS (e.g., JDA, Manhattan Associates).
- Experience in a high-volume distribution or logistics center.
