Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Foley Artist to join our award-winning sound post-production team. This role is central to bringing cinematic worlds to life through authentic and immersive soundscapes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Foley artistry, a keen ear for detail, and the ability to creatively interpret scripts to produce the perfect sonic textures for film and television projects. You will work closely with our sound design and mixing teams in a state-of-the-art studio environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and record a wide range of foley effects (footsteps, props, movements) live to picture, ensuring synchronization and emotional resonance.
  • Collaborate with sound supervisors, directors, and editors to understand creative vision and specific sound requirements for each project.
  • Source and manage a diverse collection of props and surfaces to achieve desired sound characteristics.
  • Maintain and organize the foley stage, equipment, and prop library.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to recording equipment and software.
  • Contribute creatively to the overall sound design process, offering innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality foley tracks, adhering to project deadlines.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Foley Artist in film or television production.
  • Exceptional rhythm, timing, and improvisation skills.
  • Expertise in using digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools for recording and editing.
  • Deep understanding of microphone techniques and audio recording principles.
  • Strong creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal education or certification in audio engineering, sound design, or a related field.
  • Portfolio showcasing a range of foley work on professional projects.
  • Experience with various foley stages and recording environments.
  • Familiarity with sound libraries and asset management systems.
  • Passion for film, television, and immersive storytelling.
