Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Per Diem (PRN) position at our South Gate facility. This role offers the flexibility of no long-term commitment, allowing you to manage your schedule while earning competitive, high hourly pay. As a PRN LPN, you will provide essential patient care, working collaboratively with our medical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and support our commitment to community health. Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor, record, and report changes in patient conditions to the nursing supervisor or physician.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including feeding, bathing, and mobility.
- Perform basic wound care and sterile dressing changes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with all facility policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Required Skills
- Current, unrestricted LPN license in the State of California.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as an LPN.
- Proficiency in medication administration and basic wound care.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an acute care or clinic setting.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
