Job Description
Are you passionate about empowering young voices and exploring the digital world? Scholastic Corporation is seeking a bright and enthusiastic Online Blog Assistant to support our youth-focused digital content initiatives. This unique, part-time opportunity is designed for individuals eager to learn the ropes of online publishing, content management, and digital engagement, specifically tailored for content targeting 14-year-old teens. You will receive comprehensive training in WordPress and gain hands-on experience in a supportive, creative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, editing, and publishing blog posts relevant to 14-year-old teens.
- Learn and utilize WordPress to manage content, images, and basic formatting.
- Conduct research on trending topics and youth interests to inform content creation.
- Help moderate blog comments and foster a positive online community.
- Collaborate with content creators and editors to ensure engaging and age-appropriate material.
- Assist with basic SEO tasks, including keyword research and meta description writing.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for new content and features.
- Ensure all content adheres to Scholastic's editorial guidelines and brand voice.
