Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Control Clerk with a strong focus on Cycle Counting to join our dynamic team in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will be crucial in maintaining the accuracy of our inventory records, ensuring smooth operations, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our supply chain. You will perform regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to ensure our physical inventory matches our system records. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cycle counts of inventory in designated areas according to established schedules and procedures.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by analyzing transaction histories, conducting root cause analysis, and coordinating with other departments.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to accurately record inventory movements and adjustments.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations, receiving, and shipping teams to ensure proper inventory handling and storage.
- Assist in the training of warehouse personnel on proper inventory control practices and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Participate in physical inventory counts as required.
- Identify and tag non-conforming or damaged inventory.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a related field.
- Proven experience with cycle counting methodologies and practices.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
- Knowledge of safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
