Job Description
We are seeking a warm, experienced, and dedicated Nanny to provide one-on-one childcare for a private family in a local suburb of Joliet, IL. This full-time position involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for a single child, engaging them in age-appropriate activities, and supporting their developmental milestones. The ideal candidate will be passionate about childcare, highly responsible, and possess excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and nurturing one-on-one care for a single child in the family's home.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities, games, and outings.
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks, adhering to any dietary restrictions.
- Assist with daily routines including feeding, napping, bathing, and dressing.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for the child.
- Foster the child's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.
- Communicate regularly and openly with parents regarding the child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
- Manage the child's schedule, including appointments and extracurricular activities.
- Handle light household tasks related to the child, such as laundry and tidying play areas.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of professional childcare experience with verifiable references.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain immediately).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to create a safe, engaging, and structured environment.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Clean background check and driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience with children of specific age groups (e.g., infants, toddlers, preschoolers).
- Knowledge of child development theories and best practices.
- Non-smoker.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
