Job Description

Embark on a rewarding journey with Chubb as a Claims Adjusting Intern in Center City, Philadelphia. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist claims adjusters with administrative tasks and documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Shadow experienced adjusters on claims investigations, site visits, and customer interactions to understand real-world application.
  • Learn to review and interpret insurance policies and coverage details to determine applicability of claims.
  • Support the collection of necessary information for claims assessment, including reports, statements, and other evidence.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to deepen understanding of claims processes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and organized claims files and records, both physical and digital.
  • Communicate professionally with policyholders, agents, and third parties under supervision, providing updates and gathering information.

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program (preferably Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous customer service or office administration experience.
  • Demonstrated interest in the insurance industry or claims adjusting.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new systems, processes, and a fast-paced work environment.
