Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Anesthesiologist to join our esteemed medical team in Saint-Joseph, Réunion. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-operative assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans.
  • Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia to patients of all ages.

  • Manage pain and critical care in the perioperative period.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies and critical situations.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Skills

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency program.
  • Valid medical license and board certification/eligibility in Anesthesiology.
  • Extensive clinical experience in general, regional, and acute care anesthesia.
  • Proficiency in advanced airway management and critical care procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Commitment to patient safety and ethical medical practice.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sub-specialty training or experience in a specific area (e.g., Cardiac Anesthesia, Pediatric Anesthesia, Obstetric Anesthesia).
  • Experience working in a university hospital or teaching environment.
  • Proficiency in French language (oral and written).
  • Demonstrated interest in research or quality improvement projects.
