Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Anesthesiologist to join our esteemed medical team in Saint-Joseph, Réunion. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans.
- Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia to patients of all ages.
- Monitor patient vital signs and physiological responses throughout surgical procedures.
- Manage pain and critical care in the perioperative period.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and critical situations.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and educational activities.
Required Skills
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency program.
- Valid medical license and board certification/eligibility in Anesthesiology.
- Extensive clinical experience in general, regional, and acute care anesthesia.
- Proficiency in advanced airway management and critical care procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Commitment to patient safety and ethical medical practice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Sub-specialty training or experience in a specific area (e.g., Cardiac Anesthesia, Pediatric Anesthesia, Obstetric Anesthesia).
- Experience working in a university hospital or teaching environment.
- Proficiency in French language (oral and written).
- Demonstrated interest in research or quality improvement projects.
