Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Pinterest Search Quality Analyst with a strong focus on Google and Bing search ecosystems. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and relevance of Pinterest content within major search engine results. You will analyze search algorithms, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to optimize Pinterest’s visibility and user experience across Google and Bing. This position requires a deep understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) principles, search quality guidelines, and the ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and content, to implement improvements and drive organic growth for Pinterest.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth analysis of Pinterest content performance and visibility on Google and Bing search results pages.
  • Evaluate search quality data, identifying patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor search algorithm updates from Google and Bing and assess their potential impact on Pinterest.
  • Develop and execute testing methodologies to measure the effectiveness of search quality initiatives.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to product, engineering, and content teams based on search quality insights.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define and refine SEO strategies for Pinterest.
  • Stay current with industry best practices in search engine optimization, content strategy, and search quality.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on search performance and quality metrics.

Required Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in SEO, search quality analysis, or related digital marketing roles.
  • Strong understanding of Google and Bing search algorithms and ranking factors.
  • Proficiency with SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, SEMrush, Ahrefs).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw conclusions.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and troubleshoot search visibility issues.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with large-scale content platforms or social media analytics.
  • Familiarity with Pinterest's platform and its content ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis.
  • Experience with A/B testing and experimentation methodologies in an SEO context.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
