Job Description
Are you a high school student looking for a productive summer job where you can learn valuable skills? CertaPro Painters of Utah County is seeking enthusiastic and motivated High School Painter Assistants to join our team for the summer season. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a trade, work outdoors, and contribute to transforming homes and businesses in our community. No prior painting experience is required; we provide all the necessary training and mentorship. Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced painters with surface preparation, including washing, scraping, sanding, and patching walls.
- Help with masking, taping, and protecting non-painted surfaces.
- Support painters in applying paint, stains, and finishes under direct supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning brushes, rollers, and other tools.
- Load and unload supplies and equipment from vehicles.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines on job sites.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in high school or recently graduated.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, and climbing ladders for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites in the Provo area.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in manual labor or outdoor work.
- A valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures.
