Job Description
UPS is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as an App Beta Tester with a focus on feedback and rewards. In this remote contract role, you will play a crucial part in the development and refinement of our cutting-edge mobile applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of usability, functionality, and user satisfaction. Your primary responsibility will be to meticulously test new features, identify bugs, and provide comprehensive feedback on the user experience, particularly concerning new reward programs and feedback mechanisms. Key Responsibilities
- Actively test pre-release versions of the UPS mobile application on assigned devices (iOS and/or Android).
- Execute test plans and scenarios, paying close attention to new features related to user feedback submissions and reward programs.
- Document and report bugs, glitches, and usability issues with clear, concise, and detailed descriptions, including steps to reproduce.
- Provide constructive feedback on app design, functionality, user interface, and overall user experience, with a specific focus on the clarity and attractiveness of reward systems.
- Participate in surveys, interviews, and online discussions to share insights and suggestions.
- Verify bug fixes and feature implementations in subsequent beta builds.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding unreleased features and sensitive information.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle inconsistencies or bugs.
- Excellent written communication skills for reporting bugs and providing feedback.
- Proficiency in using mobile devices (smartphones, tablets) and navigating various mobile applications.
- Ability to follow instructions and execute test cases accurately.
- Basic understanding of mobile app functionality and user experience principles.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a beta tester for mobile applications.
- Familiarity with logistics or package tracking applications.
- Experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Asana).
- Knowledge of both iOS and Android operating systems.
