Job Description
Are you 16 years old, energetic, and looking for a flexible way to earn money? DoorDash is looking for enthusiastic Bicycle Delivery Riders in Louisville! This entry-level position is perfect for teens who want to gain valuable work experience, stay active, and contribute to their community. No driver’s license is required – just a bicycle and a can-do attitude. You’ll be responsible for picking up food orders from local restaurants and delivering them to customers within a designated service area, all while providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Pick up food orders from various restaurants and stores promptly and efficiently.
- Deliver orders to customers' doorsteps in a timely and safe manner using a bicycle.
- Ensure food quality and presentation are maintained during transit.
- Communicate effectively with customers, restaurants, and DoorDash support as needed.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Manage delivery routes efficiently using the DoorDash app.
- Represent DoorDash professionally and courteously at all times.
Required Skills
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Own and be proficient in riding a bicycle.
- Possess a working smartphone with data plan to use the DoorDash app.
- Ability to lift and carry delivery bags (up to 20 lbs).
- Strong sense of direction and familiarity with Louisville neighborhoods.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Positive attitude and strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
- Basic understanding of smartphone applications.
