Job Description

The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Department of Health Administrator. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable administrative experience within a vital state agency, supporting our mission to serve the community. You will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our department, contributing to public health initiatives and supporting our dedicated staff. This is an on-site position based in our Boise office.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to department staff, including scheduling, correspondence, and record-keeping.
- Assist with data entry and maintaining accurate databases for various programs.
- Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails, and mail.
- Organize and maintain office files, both physical and digital, ensuring confidentiality and accessibility.
- Prepare and process routine documents, reports, and presentations.
- Greet visitors and direct inquiries as appropriate.
- Support departmental projects and initiatives as needed.
- Maintain office supplies and equipment inventory.
