Job Description
Are you a high school student looking for a rewarding part-time job that fits perfectly with your afternoon schedule? Starbucks in Reno, Nevada is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Baristas for afternoon shifts, typically from 3 PM to 7 PM. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable work experience, develop customer service skills, and be part of a vibrant community. We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, have a positive attitude, and are passionate about delivering exceptional service to our customers. No prior experience is necessary, as we provide comprehensive training.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to Starbucks standards.
- Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately, including cash, card, and mobile payments.
- Provide friendly, fast, and efficient service to all customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including stocking supplies and cleaning equipment.
- Educate customers on menu items and promotions, offering suggestions and answering questions.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in high school or equivalent educational program.
- Ability to work afternoon shifts (typically 3 PM – 7 PM).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior customer service experience (e.g., volunteer work, school clubs).
- A passion for coffee and customer service.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and customer needs.
