Job Description
As an AI Algorithm Performance Analyst with a Quantitative Focus, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and optimizing the performance of Google’s cutting-edge AI algorithms. You will apply advanced statistical methods and data analysis techniques to measure algorithm accuracy, efficiency, and scalability, identifying areas for improvement and driving data-informed decisions. This role is essential for ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of our AI-powered products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quantitative metrics and methodologies to evaluate AI algorithm performance.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and root causes of performance issues.
- Design and execute A/B tests and other experimental frameworks to assess algorithm changes.
- Collaborate with AI researchers, engineers, and product managers to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Create detailed reports and visualizations to communicate performance findings to stakeholders.
- Monitor production AI systems for ongoing performance and stability.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and quantitative analysis techniques.
Required Skills
- Strong background in quantitative analysis, statistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and statistical libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-learn).
- Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and derive actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure).
- Prior experience in performance evaluation or optimization of AI/ML models.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker).
