Job Description
Are you looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity to earn extra income on weekends? Stanley Steemer in Chesapeake, VA, is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Weekend Carpet Cleaning Aide. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training to ensure you’re equipped with all the skills needed to succeed. This role is perfect for someone who is hands-on, enjoys physical work, and is dedicated to providing high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead technicians in the setup and breakdown of cleaning equipment at customer locations.
- Help move furniture and other items to prepare areas for cleaning.
- Operate cleaning equipment under supervision after receiving training.
- Perform pre-treatment and spot cleaning tasks as directed.
- Ensure all work areas are left clean and tidy after service completion.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with customers.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Load and unload equipment from company vehicles.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and furniture.
- Strong work ethic and reliability, especially for weekend shifts.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Positive attitude and customer-focused approach.
- Excellent punctuality and attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience in a labor-intensive or customer service role (not required, but a plus).
