Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Pinterest Systems Architect to join our Enterprise IT team. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and implementing scalable and robust system architectures that integrate with or leverage the Pinterest platform for our large enterprise clients. You will be responsible for creating technical blueprints, overseeing their execution, and ensuring the solutions meet high performance, security, and scalability standards within complex enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-level systems integrating with or utilizing the Pinterest API and ecosystem.
- Define technical requirements, system specifications, and architectural patterns for complex solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical architectures.
- Develop architectural roadmaps and strategies that align with enterprise goals and technological advancements.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, ensuring best practices in system design and implementation.
- Conduct architectural reviews and ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and regulatory standards.
- Evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance system capabilities and optimize performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex architectural and system design issues.
- Document architectural decisions, designs, and specifications clearly and comprehensively.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in system architecture, with a focus on enterprise-level platforms.
- Proven experience designing and implementing solutions involving major social media platforms, with a strong preference for Pinterest's API and data ecosystem.
- Expertise in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, databases (SQL, NoSQL), and data warehousing concepts.
- Proficiency in API design, integration patterns, and authentication mechanisms (OAuth, SAML).
- Experience with enterprise integration patterns and middleware technologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Certifications in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) or cloud platforms.
- Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code.
- Prior experience in a consulting or client-facing architectural role.
